Our Dal Zotto Wines Australia Day Tournament was nominated for the Tennis Victoria awards and after initially being narrowed down to the top three, we came away with a win at the awards night at the Kooyong Tennis Centre on May 28th.

President, Sam Allen, and Tournament Director, Frank Harris, were at the ceremony to accept the award.

The 2026 event was the 100th running of the tournament and our skilled team of workers created an exceptional event which deserved the award from Tennis Vic.

The team was responsible for catering, sponsorship, merchandise, court maintenance, scheduling, etc and all aspects were handled in a professional manner. We attracted 472 players which is a record over the past 30+ years.

We are currently in the winter lull, however we still have a number of keen tennis players gracing the courts every Saturday afternoon.

Our club thrives because of the people who step up, pitch in, and keep things running smoothly.

It won't be long before October comes around and the Annual General Meeting is upon us, hence we should start to prepare from now on.

We are now seeking volunteers for next year’s office bearer roles — friendly faces who want to support the club, share ideas, and help our community continue to grow. If you’ve ever thought “someone should do that”, this is your moment to become that someone.
